| CHOKWE HUB: BIBLESTUDY COURSE AWARD CEREMONIES | 2024-07-27 | 1. ZONE 2 42 Students from the Assemblies of God Church received certificates of merit for passing the Rivoni Mission’s second year course covering the Gospels and the Book of Acts. 2. ZONE 3 27 Students, also from the Assemblies of God Church, received certificates of merit for passing the Rivoni Mission’s first year course covering the Books of the Old Testament. 3. TESTIMONIES. Student Jonas Simango explained what the Bible teaches and what we believe regarding the six days of God’s creation of the universe in contrast to what unbelievers teach, namely that the universe evolved on its own. Student Anatercia Xavale explained what she had learned about the Gospel. It could be seen in the three colours of her Bible and of her attire: Black represents sin; Red, the Blood of Christ that cleanses us from sin; White is how we look after having being cleansed. This was what also happened in her life. Student Anselmo Zevute spoke on the first three kings of Israel (Saul, David and Solomon) and how they came to reign the nation. He then focused on the following life lessons we learn from their history. Firstly, when chosen to leadership, we must humble ourselves before the One who placed us in that position. Secondly, we must follow Davids example and wait for God to uplift us in his own time in the eyes of the people we are to serve. |
| NEWSLETTER NO 86 | JUNE 2024 | Reports by Br’s Francois (Director) and Nelson (Vice-Director). Rivoni (Mozambique) is going through challlenging times due to the decline in income but the superintendents of the 9 districts, as well as their class teachers are firmly rooted in Christ. They are still doing their best and are succeeding in building His Kingdom. Do read this report and pray that the Lord will abundantly supply in their spiritual as well as material needs. A hungry ox may have a willing heart, but will lack in power when having to pull the heavy plow through rocky soil. |

| MABALANE HUB CELEBRATION | 2023-11-18 | As reported by Br Nelson (edited): “Yesterday, at Mabalane, we “graduated” a number of brother Baloi’s students. Some were notably young people for which we praise God. He is raising up an Army of Prayer Warriors for himself in these last days. Please pray for these who have received Jesus Christ as their Saviour”. (Tap to see photo A, photo B and photo C.) As reported by Br Baloi (edited): We had a fantastic “graduation” of 3 classes of the course on the Old Testament on 18 Nov ’23. From Chipsane there were 9, Mabalane 19 and 12 from Matidze; 40 in all. Regrettably the 12 from Matidze could not be present in person for they are grade 12 students and were preparing for their final examn in science. The graduation was arranged at Matidze which is halfway between Chipsane and Mabalane. The Vice- Director, brother Nelson Muiambo (see photo C), was preaching on the topic, “The Danger of unrelenting “. After reading Matthew 11: 20 – 24, he showered the audience with the Gospel of Christ. He emphasized that anyone who had completed the course but had not yet surrendered his or her life to Christ, would be under a greater judgment than the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. The audience, which included many of the students’ friends and relatives, were under deep convicton of sin. Hallelujah!!! (Photo D). |
| TINA MUIAMBO | 2023-11-21 | Message received from Nelson: Tina still fighting with the sickness, although it hurts sometimes but the Lord has been kind with her, today she went to Xai-Xai as the doctor instructed to do so Regarding the surgery the doctor said that it can only be performed at Maputo, but they are the ones that must send the patients there after a confirmation of the availability of the special doctor for it. And that they can not tell us when will it be possible as that the doctors at Maputo are engaged on strikes, complaining about their salaries, from the government that until the present there’s no answer. |
