TOGETHER THEY RUN 5 CLASSES WEEKLY, TOTALLING 45 STUDENTS.
Br Boavida also plays a very important role in the provision of study material by assisting in the translating of the study guides from English into Shangaan.
He is often invited to preach at local meetings and enjoys these opportunities of building the Kingdom of God. It also opens the doors for new classes to be planted.
EXAMPLES OF CLASSES BEING HELD: THE STUDENT CLASS AT MABALANE
Br Baloi: Regarding the Student class (grade 8-12) at Mabalane. Except for during holidays, I conduct this class mostly from 6 to 7: 30 pm, because some of the students attend school in the morning or afternoon. Classes are held in the lounge of my neighbour, br Sitoe, who is a Christian. He has a solar panel, enough space and there we are protected from wind and rain. On a cold day we gather on his front “stoep” and when the sun beats down, we sit on “cansis” (sleeping mats) in the shade of a nearby tree.
Here the students are seen doing their exam, after having completed the course on the Old-Testament which runs for approximate twelve months.
Teaching adults can be hard to work because most of them cannot read the Bible nor take notes and have to do oral exams. Not so with young people. Teaching them the Word, is very thrilling. They are curios, enthusiastic and can do research on their own. You need not press them to attend. They enjoy the Bible because they see that it is applicable and of practical value to their daily lives.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE MINISTRY AT MABALANE
This hub has its roots in Matitze, a small village further to the West, almost on the banks of the Limpopo river. Br Boavida and his family lived there. He got born again earlier on (see above) and was living from the land, serving the Lord and ministering to a small group of people. Then he met up with the then leader of Rivoni Ministries, joined the Mission and later on relocated permanently to Mabalane. Mabalane is a larger village further to the East and on the main road from Maputo to Zimbabwe.
During the latest sensus, taken in 2007, it had a population of 32,040 residents. Many classes have been run and successfully completed here over the past ten years or more. Workers have also crossed over the Limpopo river into the adjoining Limpopo National Park, establishing classes there.
In Luke 10:2 it is recorded that Jesus said to his disciples: The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may send forth laborers into His harvest.
Though many people have been lead to Christ at Mabalane, the harvest amongst 32,000 residents remains huge. For many of them, time is running out because of normal aging or untimely death. The Islam threat from the north is also very real and may unexpectedly cause another civil war to erupt which will seriously affect the unhindered teaching of the Gospel. So let us do as our Lord commanded. Pray that many of those that found Christ by our discipling classes my be thrust forth by him to present themselves as harvesters to teach the Gospel to others as they had been taught.
